How Medical Scrubs Came About
It has been shown that surgeries were practiced in ancient civilizations. What began as a rather barbaric way of treating injuries, has evolved into the vast amount of knowledge known to man. This knowledge has led to the use of medical scrubs and the purpose they served in the world of medicine and especially surgery. Those a knowledge of history know that physicians used to perform procedures wearing nothing more than their street clothes. A lot of clothing was lost to bodily fluids that spattered onto the clothes of the physician and the 19th century brought about the use of aprons for the purpose of protecting clothes.
